oscars get big fast!!!!

There are a lot of oscar and large fish stories I have heard that end back up at a petshop or another persons place. This dosen't nessecarly have to happen. If you provide a large enough tank 35-40 gallons for one oscar 55-75 for 2 oscars you will not have too many problems. 55 gallons for 2 oscars are not recomended very much either as the two oscars may choose to fight in such a small space. I read a persons artical on another site that said her two 10" oscars got too rough in a 55 gallon to keep both of them. She ended up giving one to a friend.

Just think about the long term living conditions of your fish before you buy them. This will keep you from running into later problems.
